ANOTHER Late Night Cartoon. Racist Bucket....

This is a listing of the most armed states in the Union with background checks for firearms permits.
While Oregon is about halfway down the list, I think once you get out of Portland, you probably better watch your back. It's kind of like traveling back in time or to another part of the country once you get out of Portland, though the stupid liberals are trying to transport and spread their idealism around the rest of the state.
Tonight I was bike riding with the kidlets and went through a peace protest (is that what you call it?) down by the library in Beaverton. There's always something going there. Anyways, harmless enough - as long as they didn't talk to me. One of them started to try to but I gave her a look and probably my American Flag T-shirt and the glare made her think better of it. Sorry y'all. I've watched people literally be killed and die for freedom. Peace is not simply the absence of violence. That's what the Chinese would have you think and China is very peaceful.....because they arrest torture or execute anyone who's a threat to their government. Wait....how many people does China execute a year? Hm, found a few estimates at 10,000+ a year. Apparently it's a state secret.
So - you want peace?
Don't stand around holding signs. Go help your neighbor. Teach a child to read. Do something productive. Read my blog! All these are things that contribute to peace in the world and help secure what's been achieved and often is and can only be achieved through bloodshed. Put your sign down and go do something productive.
So - what's the point of this entry? Scroll....up. Ah, yes. There it is. States with the most guns.
I have a hard time watching movies. or even openings like the one posted below without having an adrenaline rush and even though its a movie my eyes begin to scan everything again and I feel that "readiness" come back to me of going back into something.....watching....I don't know that it will ever leave me but it's there at any rate.
At the same time while I admire their speaking out, even their protesting is a form of war, a form of aggression, standing on the street presenting an "opposing view" to the views that might be different.
In the meantime, don't try to pull anything in Kentucky!

Pornography? And now, for something completely different.....
Since it's against my religion to post pornography yadda yadda yadda and it seems other bloggers are catering to the lowest common denominator just to boost their blog hits (pornography) I figured I could post another vice that DOESNT get as much attention that's not against my religion to view (but it is to do it....there's the catch!) in hopes of similar results. I hope the pictures I've posted appeal to a broad cross section of tastes in society on the matter and satisfy your needs to see people smoking.

Books I've Read: "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis
"Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis is perhaps one of the most profound books on the topic of religion that I have ever read.
While I disagree with Lewis on matters of denomination and ordinance, for a theology, "Mere Christianity" leaves one quite fulfilled if not curious about the life of Christ.
Lewis takes his literary and academic approach to the matter of whether or not Christ really was who He said He was and who His disciples said he was. He compares and contrasts Christianity, or the need for a Messiah with other religions of our day and of the past and goes on to demonstrate the need for a Redeemer, regardless of religious belief, and demonstrates quite successfully (I thought anyways) that any notion of "it doesn't really matter what you believe" to be quite absurd in terms of how the universe operates and what it is truly founded upon.
In other words, when we read about the Life of Christ, anyone who thinks he was merely a good man or a prophet has completely missed the essence of the stories of the life of Christ, and Lewis does an excellent job demonstrating this. Even those who believe He truly was the Messiah will come away with a deeper appreciation for the necessity of an atonement in this world and the notion that the world simply could not exist without such an atonement.
A thought provoking, deep and yet easy read, "Mere Christianity" is probably one of the top ten books I've ever read. I would recommend it to anyone who truly wants to understand Christianity as a whole as to what it's purpose and vision is, or who wants to read how an Atheist and a Doctor of Literature came to believe not only in the Messiah but in the need and purpose of a Messiah and his thoughts on the subject.

Yard Sign - Priceless

Ralph, my neighbor is a "lefty" of sorts (gung-ho socialized medicine, "guns should be banned", etc.).
So last week I put this sign up in my yard after one of his anti-gun rants at a neighborhood cocktail party.
The sign wasn't up more than an hour before he called the police and wanted them to make me take down the sign. Fortunately, the officer politely informed him that it was not their job to take such action without a court order and that he had to file a complaint "downtown" first, which would be reviewed by the city attorney to see if it violated any city, county, or state ordinances, which if there was a violation a court order would be sent to the offending party (me) to "remove the sign in seven days".
After several weeks he was informed that the sign was legal (by a quarter of an inch) and there was nothing the city could do, which obviously made him madder. I tried to smooth things over by inviting him to go shooting with me and my friends at the hunt club but that seemed to make him even more angry. I then asked him if he wanted to go to a Tea Party rally but again he declined my outreach efforts to bring about a better understanding between political and social opponents.
I am at a loss how to reconcile our long relationship (notice I did not say friendship), any suggestions would be welcome.
Anyway, that's life in our neck of the woods, how about yours?

Obama's Brilliant Successes! (Yes! And they are BRILLIANT!)

Rahm Emanuel cynically said, "You never want a crisis to go to waste." It is now becoming clear that the crisis he was referring to is Barack Obama's presidency.
Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.
Barack Obama is my college classmate (Columbia University, class of '83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.
-- Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?
-- Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around."
-- Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.
-- Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America. But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.
-- Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America. The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.
-- Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.
With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.
Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama.

Nice Game of Golf
One day, Jesus, Moses and an old guy were playing golf. The hole was a short Par-3, with a small pond right in the center.
Moses walks up first, pulls out an 8-iron, and swings. The ball looks short, and is about to hit the water when Moses suddenly thrusts his arms out to both sides. The water in the pond parts, and the ball rolls along the bottom of the pond, up on the green, and eventually comes to rest about 6 inches from the pin.
Jesus takes the next shot, pulls out his 9-iron and swings. Again, the ball looks short, and looks like its going to hit the water as well. But instead, the ball bounces off the surface of the water, rolls along the top of the pond, on to the green, and stops about 3 inches from Moses's ball.
The old guy is up next. He waddles to the tee, pulls out his pitching wedge and takes half a swing. The ball slices sharply to the right, hits a tree and bounces left. It bounces off the second tree, and goes right in the pond with a resounding *bloop.* In the pond, a fish swims by and picks up the ball as its sinking in the pond, and swims it to the surface. Just as the fish comes to the top of the pond, a bird flies by and plucks the fish out of the water. The bird flies around the green with the fish (still holding the ball) about 3 or 4 times, when he swoops down toward the green. And just before the bird hits the green, the fish drops the ball right in the hole.

A preacher was making his rounds to his parishioners on a bicycle, when he came upon a little boy trying to sell a lawn mower. "How much do you want for the mower?" asked the preacher. "I just want enough money to go out and buy me a bicycle", said the little boy.
After a moment of consideration, the preacher asked, "Will you take my bike in trade for it?" The little boy asked if he could try it out first, and after riding the bike around a little while said, "Mister, you've got yourself a deal."
The preacher took the mower and began to try to crank it. He pulled on the string a few times with no response from the mower. The preacher called the little boy over and said, "I can't get this mower to start."
The little boy said, "That's because you have to cuss at it to get it started." The preacher said, "I am a minister, and I cannot cuss. It has been so long since I have been saved that I do not even remember how to cuss."
The little boy looked at him happily and said, "Just keep pulling on that string. It'll come back to ya!"

Disgruntled with NAPA auto parts - letter of complaint
I'm posting this mostly because I don't want to lose it but also because it was entertaining to write. Normally I don't write angry letters to companies because we all have bad days, but I'm sorry, I'm just not in the mood for it and don't have to take it. So why not? I pull the military card quite a bit for things like this even though I know most civilians can't comprehend it but that's because I can't stand the civilian mentality on a lot of things.

Let me briefly share my background and experiences with professionalism and service:
I am a U.S. Navy combatant veteran. As a military police officer I was charged with the reputation of my country while under the international spotlight in hostile circumstances where a mistake on my part or my team could have disintegrated international relations between countries. There was no room for error. Bad day or good day we have to perform. People screaming at me, whatever, in the middle of a hostile situation? I could never let my anger get the best of me, had to follow my rules of engagement at all times and had to be professional at all times which often put me further in harms way order for our country to accomplish its work overseas.
Which brings me to my training, experiences and expectations of customer service.
On 19 June 2010 I was doing some fairly in-depth work on my dodge grand caravan. "Bill" was working that day, at the far end on the right, second to the last check stand. He was knowledgeable and courteous and gave me a lot of pointers on some work I was about to do and was instrumental in me saving over $2,030 in shop fees and materials while working with him that day.
My wife is crippled and requires our vehicle for her wheelchair and I have two small children and am working on going to school to obtain my doctoral degree in psychology and have very limited funds - not fixing this or paying someone else was not an option.
I wish I knew Bill's last name, he has glasses and graying hair and is a slimmer fellow with a clean shaven face.
He told me I could call with questions even and gave me a lot of excellent advice as far as tracking parts and not losing pieces which made the process very smooth and pleasant over the twelve hours it took me to do the job.
Thanks Bill. A very quality individual that NAPA is very fortunate to have.
Which brings me to the other Bill.
While standing in line for a refund today on 26 June 2010, I was passed up in line by four other people at the counter while I was waiting with two small children needing to get to my wife back home and tend to her with her disability.
People at the counter were on the phone and it was a generally slow process and one of the attendants even apologized for a computer malfunction and I continued to wait.
When I was being cut in front of again, I asked a gentleman (customer) at the counter if I could go before him because I'd been passed up and by this time waiting in line ~20 minutes (not an exaggeration) and I just needed to do a return and I wanted to get my children who were getting fussy out of there so as not to disturb other customers.
Bill (A tall, heavy set individual with graying hair and a grey mustache)down towards the left end (middle left) of the check stands/counter picked up the phone just then and snapped at me with the phone away from his ear and said "I am ON THE PHONE, we are BUSY, as you can SEE, sometimes YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT."
I was shocked actually. I've worked in tire shops and am used to the blue collar mentality - heck, I'm an enlisted military veteran but at the moment I was in a store, not on the front lines or in a mechanic shop. I replied to Bill, even though I wasn't originally speaking to Bill, "I understand that, I was just asking to be next if that's okay.....when you get off the phone."
I'm no stranger to bad service. But I can see at Bill's older age, in his position that someone either needs to bring it to Bill's attention that just because he's old, overweight and customer service is probably one of the more difficult jobs he's done, that kind of behavior is still not okay - it also sets a bad example for my children - or make sure he doesn't get into any other positions of power or influence with his inability to even handle a phone, a computer and a line of customers at a checkout counter and me asking another customer if I could go first.
As a military veteran who's had to hold it together while dragging out one of my injured shipmates' body to save his life with chaos around me right in the middle of the people who nearly killed him, watching my back and the backs of others, while making sure we didn't violate the rules of engagement and still be professional - I think Bill might need to go work in the back with boxes and parts and eventually work his way back up to the front counter because it's apparently too much for him. There's no excuse for his behavior and if he doesn't think it's a big deal or NAPA doesn't - well - that's why I won't shop there anymore.
I am absolutely disgusted and think Bill needs a foot up his backside to wake him up (I'd have been willing to do it but I had my kids with me and didn't have the time - he would've had it coming though - who knows, maybe that's the language he understands in this high tech world of phones and lines and computers).
Zero excuse for him or that.

Just goes to show you, youth are in on it and families too. And they will LIEEEEEEE to do it. Even in a death.
This is why I have no problems breaking up the families to enforce immigration laws.
And these are parallel examples of why the Israelis are so smart to bulldoze any houses if a terrorist is found living there or having ties to it thereby leaving no resources for the terrorist family network while the family wails "ITS INHUMANE! Oh the humanity! It's inhumane!"
So! If you read the article, mom's saying he's never been away from home, yadda yadda, we don't know.....talk about a dysfunctional family.
In the article there's enough fodder for an investigator to have some fun with in the two statements from the mom to really start to pressure her story and watch it crumble or find out what's up because even her story's not adding up - seems to be explaining an awful lot for something that didn't happen, when people lie they tend to explain a lot more than just deny.....could be grief, could be cultural differences, but it'd make me curious and want to go deeper on this one....of course she's not charged with a crime either.....death? Sucks. But we got a problem here and this is where I can be VERY heartless and exploit grief for political/informational gain to solve a problem.
I don't believe for a second, if the account that he was wanted is true, that she didn't know. What, he's keeping the money from his family???? Oh, she's never had to practice lying?
Okay, Mexico's poor, I'll give them that, and that's how they make a living. Not my problem nor my concern. We got a problem here that's costing us billions and has now cost a life. And there are some questions to be answered and this just doesn't add up - if the news is reporting accurately.

What it looks like.....constitutional gang rape
In case any of you were wondering, here's what it looks like when your constitution is being gang raped. Looks dangerous doesn't it? Something to note: Many of the most evil men in the world didn't carry a gun or have a need to raise their voices, but instead were well dressed and had manicured hands and soft voices and sat in nice offices.
History comes to mind with all that's being done in our government. The liberals couldn't be pulling off what they are so far without the help of a willing media. They just couldn't.
I don't even know where to begin with all this. The only hope is Americans wise up and resist all that's going on. But if values decay and people sell out for a piece of bread, well, then they've got us! And if they make it to where the only way to get a piece of bread is from the government....well.....bye bye. Good luck with that.
Some observations from history and the movies if I may:
When Hitler's armies marched into Austria they were welcomed with cheering crowds! Everyone awaited the armies of the man who was going to solve it all for them. And then their freedoms began disappearing, bit by bit until resistance was impossible. Our freedoms are disappearing now too. Creeping incrementalism.
And the only way to get things going the way they need to go is - slowly. To where if you put up a fuss or resist, you are mocked, and opposition is silenced through ridicule - you are overreacting! NOBODY would do thaaat. Meanwhile, the onslaught continues.
Meanwhile again, we are given the false choice again and again: The only choices are to either do it Obama's way or not at all and continue to suffer.
One of the greatest lies ever told in the world is along those lines goes something like this: "I am no devil, for there is none." Nothing matters. This way or that, it doesn't matter. Its just different. That's all.
So it is with politics - lies lies lies. Lies about what they are doing. Lies about what it's going to do. Lies about what they are GOING to do.
"So this is how liberty dies....to thunderous applause."
People don't want to believe the reality of the situation because if it's true that they are really doing all these things with one goal in mind, to trample your liberties and consolidate power, then the ugly truth is: we're in for a long war and our way of life as we know it is going to be over and something's going to be expected of you for it all or you're going to be in for some rough times and who knows how long it's going to last.
My ONLY consolation in this is that Obama was dishonest in what he's done, and America is wising up to it. Unlike such moral corruption to where if he'd told us what he was doing and we embraced it - THEN I would think we were totally lost.
But these people need to go.

Late Night Humor: Three Bulls.....(for those who've been on a farm)
Three bulls are in the pasture complaining. They've heard a rumor that the farmer is bringing in a new bull, and they aren't happy about sharing any of their cows.
The Alpha bull says, "You know, since we settled our differences and split up the cows, I've been pretty happy with MY 120 cows. I am not about to share any of MY cows with this new bull."
The second toughest bull says, "Yeah, well I ended up with only 60 cows, so I can't afford to share any of MY cows."
The youngest bull says, "I may only be half as big as you guys, but I'm still a teenager. I'm already climbing the walls with just 20 cows."
Suddenly a huge, black tractor-trailer pulls into the yard. The entire trailer contains just one animal - the biggest, baddest bull you ever saw. He weighs 3,000 pounds and has horns four feet long. As the new bull strolls down the gangplank, the two-inch thick metal plates actually sag under his weight. The bull glares at the other bulls and stares them down and smiles a bit.
Suddenly the former Alpha bull is a bit more flexible, "Well, maybe I could spare a FEW cows."
The second toughest bull says, "Maybe if I hide in the corner of the pasture, he'll leave me alone."
But the small, teenage bull is snorting, pawing the ground and shaking his fledgling horns just begging for a fight.
Worried about the reckless youngster, the two older bulls trot over to the young bull and say, "Listen, son. It's not worth dying for. Just give the new bull your 20 cows."

Apparently Dudley used to be in the NBA. I'm not much of an NBA fan. But I thought an NBA picture of someone running for governor would be more interesting than another person in a tie. But anyways, here's a letter I got from the Dudley campaign on illegal immigration.

Thank you for your e-mail. When it comes to health care Chris’ primary concern is the impact the national health care legislation will have on the state budget because unlike the federal government, Oregon can’t run a deficit. Chris’ focus will be on policies that promote greater access to affordable health care and promote better health.
Chris believes we may be able to make some headway in the courts but the best way to change things is through elections. This legislation is a result of the 2006 & 2008 elections, and by making changes in 2010 will be able to move forward in getting Oregon on the right track.
While there is no easy answer, Chris would work diligently with our elected officials in Washington to encourage resolution to the immigration problem in Oregon and the country. A Dudley Administration would ensure that law enforcement officials have the tools necessary to enforce immigration laws appropriately.
Arizona’s law was an SOS. An SOS to the federal government saying “you are not doing your job." Chris believes need to do four things to resolve this issue. We need to secure our borders. That is priority number one. Number two, we need a federal system that works, and it should be a wake up call to our federal government to get going on this. The third thing is we need to enforce both state and federal laws, and the fourth is we need to look at technology that will help business correctly identify if their workers are legal or illegal such as e-verify.

An Offensive Article on Feminism (PG).
I can already foresee a bunch of people getting torqued off by what I'm about to write, but hear me out.
It's taken me a while to put it into words but I finally figured out how to say it:
We live in a feminized society.
Our laws are feminist oriented, school programs, social programs, political correctness etc., are all feminist oriented.
I will not say that everything caters to feminism, because it doesn't.
However, if there's an active movement to promote a certain point of view legally, morally, ethically and biologically - the feminists and women in general have it in our society.
My experiences in law enforcement showed me this even more clearly than even.
Women who expect to be treated gently when they go berserk on a cop, or who would pull their tops down in order to get out of a difficult situation, who will sexually harass and claim special privileges to do so because they are a woman but scream at the first instant that these things are done to them. I remember one who had been exceptionally combative and I finally was in a position to stop her after a lengthy and dangerous foot chase that took me up the side and down the other side of an aircraft carrier with her nearly ending up six stories below on pavement and getting shot by Marine Sentries with me coming after her, as she came running at me I clotheslined her with my right arm knocking the wind out of her and putting her flat on her back on the pavement where I managed (after great difficulty) to finally (slam) her on the trunk of my cruiser and hog tie her - it was like trying to give a cat a bath. And of course this makes me sexist. (some days when I get really irritated at work, I replay this in my mind over and over).
25% of domestic violence victims admitted to hospitals are men. Not a very advertised statistic, in fact, the women's movement argued to suppress this statistic for a long time in the media because they felt it detracted from the plight of women who suffer from domestic violence.
I could go on and on to show and demonstrate every side of the issue, and some would insist that I do until it appears that there is no issue and things are exactly the way they should be and no change is needed.
But I disagree (and am therefore smarter than them!). If I can, I will call on my psychology background for the following opinions.
At any rate, given that women naturally think like women, and in society we are actively taught to think and respect and be aware of the female point of view - my question is: when do women step outside their female thinking and learn how a man thinks?
I know it's obvious, right? Sex. The OTHER brain. And sleep. That's it, right? Food?
Unfortunately, though I'm being funny, it's not too far off the mark in general and in the media.
And unfortunately in my studies of male psychology, I've noticed that while men have often had it beaten into them at a very young age to think of the feminist point of view, many women (my wife excluded - she is NOT the typical female in so many ways) grow super agitated at the prospect of not being the center of the intellectual universe and get their underwear in a wad and whatever anxiety disorder they had before the class started then pushes them over the edge to where they need an inhaler or pills or took it out on me, a fellow student and one of only two males in the courses - obviously this is my fault right?
Now I'm generalizing. Not all women are like this. But I did watch this happen enough times, that - well, the joke "if a man is alone in the woods is he still wrong?" is grounded in some truth of the world we live in.
An interesting and little known fact about male psychology is - guys generally take longer to process emotions than women do. In our feminist society, this is seen naturally that women are therefore superior because they can do this faster. (Notice speed doesn't count if we're talking about sex....). Whereas in our feminist society, if women took longer to process emotions, then it would be seen as they are superior because they aren't leaping to conclusions.And if guys processed emotions faster it would be because they are less sensitive.
At any rate, usually when a guy says "I don't want to talk about it" it's his way of being kind because it means he's really thinking very lowly of her right now and he's about to seriously hurt the girls feelings and he needs some space to calm down because the girl won't shush up or she's pushing it too far and he's about to say something they are both going to regret when he says what he REALLY feels. Hurrah for self control for men!
Did you know that boys are AS OR MORE empathetic than girls when they are growing up? Something is squashing this ability in our society though and we dont' know what. We do know that boys need their mothers more than is believed, boys torn from their mothers too early struggle in a lot of ways and aren't as well developed as those who are close to their mothers.

Anyways, I can't cover every single point of view, but that's the point, is that there is and needs to be room for a point of view like this in society that's supposedly "so open!" but usually the thoughts only seem to meet resistance or opposition or contradiction. Although now that I'm constantly surrounded by women at work I think I'm getting the knack of dealing with female psychology as a supervisor though initially I wanted to gouge my eyes out for not being heard and working with people who have little experience in being sensitive at all to the way men operate - I've found a happy balance in it all.
The book on the left was one of my textbooks and was an amazing read for me as a man, it was one of the first books I read that really captured how a man thinks on so many levels. I highly recommend it, though I seem to remember the female students weren't so impressed with it the guys were pretty impressed with it.
So to illustrate my point I'm enclosing a bit of humor....and wondering who's been alienated.

It's taken me a while to put it into words but I finally figured out how to say it:
We live in a feminized society.
Our laws are feminist oriented, school programs, social programs, political correctness etc., are all feminist oriented.
I will not say that everything caters to feminism, because it doesn't.
However, if there's an active movement to promote a certain point of view legally, morally, ethically and biologically - the feminists and women in general have it in our society.
My experiences in law enforcement showed me this even more clearly than even.
Women who expect to be treated gently when they go berserk on a cop, or who would pull their tops down in order to get out of a difficult situation, who will sexually harass and claim special privileges to do so because they are a woman but scream at the first instant that these things are done to them. I remember one who had been exceptionally combative and I finally was in a position to stop her after a lengthy and dangerous foot chase that took me up the side and down the other side of an aircraft carrier with her nearly ending up six stories below on pavement and getting shot by Marine Sentries with me coming after her, as she came running at me I clotheslined her with my right arm knocking the wind out of her and putting her flat on her back on the pavement where I managed (after great difficulty) to finally (slam) her on the trunk of my cruiser and hog tie her - it was like trying to give a cat a bath. And of course this makes me sexist. (some days when I get really irritated at work, I replay this in my mind over and over).
25% of domestic violence victims admitted to hospitals are men. Not a very advertised statistic, in fact, the women's movement argued to suppress this statistic for a long time in the media because they felt it detracted from the plight of women who suffer from domestic violence.
I could go on and on to show and demonstrate every side of the issue, and some would insist that I do until it appears that there is no issue and things are exactly the way they should be and no change is needed.
But I disagree (and am therefore smarter than them!). If I can, I will call on my psychology background for the following opinions.
At any rate, given that women naturally think like women, and in society we are actively taught to think and respect and be aware of the female point of view - my question is: when do women step outside their female thinking and learn how a man thinks?
I know it's obvious, right? Sex. The OTHER brain. And sleep. That's it, right? Food?
Unfortunately, though I'm being funny, it's not too far off the mark in general and in the media.
And unfortunately in my studies of male psychology, I've noticed that while men have often had it beaten into them at a very young age to think of the feminist point of view, many women (my wife excluded - she is NOT the typical female in so many ways) grow super agitated at the prospect of not being the center of the intellectual universe and get their underwear in a wad and whatever anxiety disorder they had before the class started then pushes them over the edge to where they need an inhaler or pills or took it out on me, a fellow student and one of only two males in the courses - obviously this is my fault right?
Now I'm generalizing. Not all women are like this. But I did watch this happen enough times, that - well, the joke "if a man is alone in the woods is he still wrong?" is grounded in some truth of the world we live in.
An interesting and little known fact about male psychology is - guys generally take longer to process emotions than women do. In our feminist society, this is seen naturally that women are therefore superior because they can do this faster. (Notice speed doesn't count if we're talking about sex....). Whereas in our feminist society, if women took longer to process emotions, then it would be seen as they are superior because they aren't leaping to conclusions.And if guys processed emotions faster it would be because they are less sensitive.
At any rate, usually when a guy says "I don't want to talk about it" it's his way of being kind because it means he's really thinking very lowly of her right now and he's about to seriously hurt the girls feelings and he needs some space to calm down because the girl won't shush up or she's pushing it too far and he's about to say something they are both going to regret when he says what he REALLY feels. Hurrah for self control for men!
Did you know that boys are AS OR MORE empathetic than girls when they are growing up? Something is squashing this ability in our society though and we dont' know what. We do know that boys need their mothers more than is believed, boys torn from their mothers too early struggle in a lot of ways and aren't as well developed as those who are close to their mothers.

The gay activists have had a field day in San Fransisco trying to ban him (he broadcasts from San Fran) for "hate speech" and for intimidating gays and inciting hatred against them. Mmmmmm, yeah, I don't think so really. Given all the laws that are being passed in favor of gays I don't think they'd win that one.
Interesting note about Michael is that he is the ONLY radio show host I know who has a Ph.D. He hates liberalism but stands up for the environment. His son is the founder of the company that produces "RockStar Energy Drink." But with his education, he also can wax philsophical on poetry, music, alternative medicine and nutrition. He's also Jewish.
For me, I can't really stand the accent. While he's right on most of the stuff he says, delivery is something I think is important as well....I tend to go more for persuasion in my public addresses rather than just berating and bashing. However, if you get tired of listening to politically correct....well Michael Savage would probably be the person for you!

"(Sec. 9002) Requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee
the aggregate cost of applicable employer-sponsored group health coverage
that is excludable from the employee's gross income (excluding the value of
contributions to fle xible spending arrangements)."
Starting in 2011—next year—the W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be
increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are provided.
It doesn't matter if you're retired. Your gross income WILL go up by the amount
of insurance your employer paid for. So you’ll be required to pay taxes on a larger
sum of money than you actually received. Take the tax form you just finished for
2009 and see what $15,000.00 or $20,000.00 additional gross income does to
your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many it puts you into a
much higher bracket. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for
fifteen (15) percent that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases,
but it's not really a "tax increase" as such, it a redefinition of your taxable income.

Movies I've Watched: United 93
If you haven't seen it, be forwarned - this is an emotional movie but it's done very well on a number of fronts.
It is a recounting of 9/11 on United 93, the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania and the struggle that took place on board from the witness accounts through phone connections with loved ones on the ground as to what they heard and were told. It also has the actual members of the military playing themselves in the roles they were in on that day with military intelligence, Central Command & so on in the military efforts to stop the attack as well as members of the FAA playing themselves - its quite a well done account.
But more than that is the camera shots and angles. The movie is directed by Paul Greengrass who also did the last two "Bourne" films. Like those last two films, Greengrass chose to use mobile cameras to give a "real" perspective to the events of that day as they would appear if you were there and looking around.
9/11 struck me pretty hard as a veteran as I had recently separated from the military and was serving in an ecclesiastical calling for a time - I had no problems when it came time for duty - to go in and do my duty though I hoped I'd come home....it was what I signed up for. I would have loved to have had a chance to be there to have tried to stop what happened that day, but then God had called me elsewhere, though I always viewed being in harm's way as "Either I'm going home or I'm going home, either way I'm going home" (in the words of Epicurus the Greek philosopher "Death does not concern us, for as long as we are alive death is not here and when we are dead we no longer exist!" - though I disagree on the last part with Epicurus that's about how I felt of my military service.)
But what bothered me more was knowing that I was down here and they were up there and there was nothing I could do about it. That was just my personal feelings of the day, a feeling of helplessness and anger, not helpless because I was down here, but because I could sign back up and go to the front lines and just felt like I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
An excellent movie that requires some reflection, its hard to watch, but then, we live in a hard age that requires a lot from us. I don't know that we should be required to watch this, but I think Americans should as you get to see not just a lot of what happened but - well - Americans in their last moments serving their country. Making that sacrifice and saving our government as that last plane was meant for the capitol (only now we have Obama in there coming in through the electoral process rather than by violence - a Trojan Horse if you will).

Bonus Joke: On Courage
A man dies and appears at The Pearly Gates.
"Have you ever done anything of particular merit? Have you exhibited courage?" St. Peter asks.
"Well, I can think of one thing," the man offers. "Once I came upon a group of bikers who were bothering a young woman. I told them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen. So I approached the largest and meanest looking one. I smacked him on the head, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring and threw it on the ground. Then I told him, now get out of here before I chase you out of here myself."

"Well, I can think of one thing," the man offers. "Once I came upon a group of bikers who were bothering a young woman. I told them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen. So I approached the largest and meanest looking one. I smacked him on the head, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring and threw it on the ground. Then I told him, now get out of here before I chase you out of here myself."
St. Peter was visibly impressed. "When did this happen?"
"Just a few minutes ago."

A woman takes her 16-year-old daughter to the doctor.
The doctor says, "Okay, Mrs. Jones, what's the problem?"
The mother says, "It's my daughter, Debbie. She keeps getting these cravings, she's putting on weight, and is sick most mornings."

Rahm Quitting? Schism in the White House? The Beginning of the End?
Rahm Emanuel is quitting as Obama's Chief of Staff! Supposed to go at the mid-terms. About the time the republicans are going to blow (I hope) the dems out of the water. However much the republicans win it won't be enough - unless it's like 100% - anything less than 70 % or so is going to be spun - at any rate they had better act FAST to undo all this crap before the mess left behind by this idiot sinks us.
Either way the republicans are pretty stupid on a lot of things too, like going along with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae because they didn't want to be called racist for saying minorities should have to pay their home loans.....like refusing to check the stupid birth certificate - although rumor has it that the subpoenas are going to begin HARD core if they win a majority come fall. And they SHOULD. Shaft this guy. Shaft him hard. I favor a supermax prison in isolation for the rest of his life for being a traitor. Free tickets for his wife and kids to kenya.

Vehicle Maintenance for the Savvy Conservative
Normally I wouldn't work on Sunday, it's the Sabbath in my religion - so - unless the "ox is in the mire" I would save recreating, working.....all that stuff for another day of the week.
BUT - since my "ox was in the mire" - I had to finish working on my van today and just got it done.
We did for ~$60 and 8 hours of work what they were going to charge me $2,100 for at the shop.
For those of you who DON'T do car maintenance, one thing I've noticed is that: Americans don't maintain their cars. They run them until they die and then replace them.
IF you maintain your car you can make a car last 1/2 million miles (500,000 miles or more) relatively easily.
If you read your owners manual you'll notice that there are things that need to be done to your car that most people haven't even heard of (i.e. flush the power steering fluid).
Formally, my education in mechanics is limited to U.S. Navy ships/submarines and the tires/suspension/braking systems on a vehicle.
SO, faced with a shortage of funds to just drop $2,100 on a repair - I had to figure out how to do it myself - thankfully I had some help.
Well, if you go to NAPA or someplace like that, they sell the manuals that have the instructions on how to do most of the stuff yourself, they aren't too thick and cost ~$20. Some jobs you'll need tools for, others are pretty simple and just require your hands and you poking under the hood, and others you need specialized equipment for (engine hoist/jack/lift - I haven't had anything like that yet). However, I usually get by with just the jack for my spare tire (at minimum) and a complete tool set with the ratchets, wrenches and screwdrivers. In the manuals they will provide guidance on specialized tools you may need or cheater tips. I use Chilton manuals.
At any rate, like, flushing and replacing your transmission fluid. I've done this a few times now. They will charge you ~+$200.00 to do this at the repair shops. I got underneath my van and found it was a messy job but it just was me buying a new gasket (~$15.00 or so) and undoing some screws with a hex wrench and then putting the new gasket on, screwing things back together and then buying replacement transmission fluid. It took about an hour. It was messy! It didn't have a spigot. I had to get out of the way and made sure I worked someplace nobody would be offended about me having transmission fluid dump on the ground while I didn't catch it all (I live in Oregon, I've had people freak about me putting a pop can in the waste basket). But I did for ~$15 and an hours work what the shop charges for $200.00. Totally worth learning to do. Quite easy.
Today's job was a bit more in depth, having to tap out a spark plug port and put an "expansion" sleeve in there and then make sure no metal shavings got in my pistons to destroy my engine, had to remove some heat shielding and exhaust manifolds and air filters and....a bunch of stuff. BUT! ~$60 later, we were back on the road (took me two weeks to get to it - lucky I have two cars). BUT, I still wouldn't have been able earn the finances to do the job myself.
I did have to buy an engine diagnostic tool ultimately (example shown at right). But, well, still, between doing my own brakes and having a bit of help from my father in law on most of this, I literally save THOUSANDS a year in maintenance and car wear and tear.
For the Savvy Conservative, start learning to do your own work. You'll have to ask around, it's nice to have someone who knows what to do doing it with you the first time on a lot of projects but if you can go this route, you'll save a TON of money and be safer than just letting it go and run down. Just too often it's like we look at the project and are a bit overwhelmed by it, but if you go buy the instructions, get your tools, take your time, you can save a lot of money, you'll get faster at it, and you'll make your vehicle last longer rather than just driving it till it craps out or suffering through something because you can't afford to fix it. Get in! Get your hands dirty!
Now that I think about it even the liberals should be in favor of this because it means fewer junk cars cluttering up the junkyards - of course they can barely handle that they even have to drive a car.
Things like timing belts and water pumps I leave to the experts if I can, but having done this enough I'm getting comfortable to where I would be willing to work on that as well.

Yeah Right.....regulate the internet to protect against terrorism?
Okay, so now the Department of Homeland Security says they need to monitor the internet to protect against terrorism....right....Janet Napolitano and Barak Hussein Obama.....who want to sue to keep the borders open......and refuse to shut them......want to protect against terrorism.....I'll have to think on this one.

I thought that worked the way it was supposed to - according to her anyways.....so....how about lets protect against FOREIGN terrorism first, when you show you can do that, THEN we'll worry about homegrown terrorism - wait, I got an idea, lets monitor Janet Napolitano and Obama's email (and birth certificate and college papers) first to start with homegrown terrorism protection - lets start there!

Reading, Writing & Arithmetic - an evening to remember.
I played trumpet for a number of years, but this is the first time I've been to a dance recital (versus a performance/concert). WOW.
I have had my daughter in dance lessons for like, what, 9 months now or something? I didn't realize the studio we have her at is ranked in the top 10 in the U.S. and they are competing for number 1 here in the next couple months in New Orleans for a national competition.
I had no idea that six year olds could be taught to tap in hip-hop tap better than some of the adult professional performances I've seen.
Rachel got to be center stage because she remembers the dance really well - but it was funny when it was over, she discovered the glitter on the stage from some of the performances, rather than just standing and clapping she was bending over to swish her hands through the glitter and show it to the other girls or rub it on herself. I believe, or should I say, I know, with some coaching - she could be formidable in the dance arenas.
But what's this got to do with anything I write about here? Well, it's my blog so I guess I can write about whatever I want - but something came to mind I thought was worth sharing.
Often we consider the arts a waste in terms of education. Reading, writing & arithmetic - that's it!
That's what you need to survive.

They lift our minds towards God and towards man's highest potentials released from within, and without them, all other tasks and sciences, without the liberal arts, are but more efficient ways of feeding ourselves so that we are no more than glorfied beasts of the field having found more a faster means to feed and clothe ourselves and knowing little else.
John Adams, on the arts and sciences is quoted as saying: The science of government it is my duty to study, more than all other sciences; the arts of legislation and administration and negotiation ought to take the place of, indeed exclude, in a manner, all other arts. I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.
In other words a society that squashes or oppresses the arts, or suppresses them (coughCOMMUNISTS) has fallen short in its achievements and highest ambitions. Similarly, however, I don't think we can build upon the arts at the expense of the sciences & education (coughFRENCH), that only turns into intellectual pedanting - having made thoughts the aim of the exercise.
I've never been a dancer, I've done martial arts, but on the dance floor can't quite find myself in terms of expression - with the trumpet I can "feel" what I'm playing and give the emotional a voice -but I struggle with dance - perhaps because I've had no training.
But, I think learning at least ONE of the arts is vital for any youth today. We have to learn the arts, or there will be nothing to read about except war, commerce and law. Tonight really gave me an appreciation for the abilities of those youth and made me quite jealous of them because they are getting to do something I wanted to do in my youth but was too shy and awkward to do - but why not now? Is it really too late? At any rate, my children are getting to enjoy them and I hope it deepens their appreciation for life and the things that are found in it.

New Hampshire Formally Rejects Obama Government (Thought Texas would do this)
Below is the text of a resolution passed in the New Hampshire state legislature, both houses concurring, essentially telling the Obama Administration that it doesn't have the authority to do what it is doing on....well....a lot of things. It's short, shorter than the Arizona law, but here you go! They dug up the constitutional convention on this one in the 1780's to draft this piece, it's pretty impressive as we're getting into the conditions of statehood as they tell the Obungler to go climb a tree. In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
A RESOLUTION affirming States’ rights based on Jeffersonian principles.
Whereas the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire, Part 1, Article 7 declares that the people of this State have the sole and exclusive right of governing themselves as a free, sovereign, and independent State; and do, and forever hereafter shall, exercise and enjoy every power, jurisdiction, and right, pertaining thereto, which is not, or may not hereafter be, by them expressly delegated to the United States of America in congress assembled; and
Whereas the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire, Part 2, Article 1 declares that the people inhabiting the territory formerly called the province of New Hampshire, do hereby solemnly and mutually agree with each other, to form themselves into a free, sovereign and independent body-politic, or State, by the name of The State of New Hampshire; and
Whereas the State of New Hampshire when ratifying the Constitution for the United States of America recommended as a change, “First That it be Explicitly declared that all Powers not expressly & particularly Delegated by the aforesaid are reserved to the several States to be, by them Exercised;” and
Whereas the other States that included recommendations, to wit Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Virginia, included an identical or similar recommended change; and

That the several States composing the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their General Government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a General Government for special purposes, -- delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force; that to this compact each State acceded as a State, and is an integral party, its co-States forming, as to itself, the other party: that the government created by this compact was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress; and
That the Constitution of the United States, having delegated to Congress a power to punish treason, counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States, piracies, and felonies committed on the high seas, and offences against the law of nations, slavery, and no other crimes whatsoever; and it being true as a general principle, and one of the amendments to the Constitution having also declared, that “the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people,” therefore all acts of Congress which assume to create, define, or punish crimes, other than those so enumerated in the Constitution are altogether void, and of no force; and that the power to create, define, and punish such other crimes is reserved, and, of right, appertains solely and exclusively to the respective States, each within its own territory; and
That it is true as a general principle, and is also expressly declared by one of the amendments to the Constitution, that “the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people;” and that no power over the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, or freedom of the press being delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, all lawful powers respecting the same did of right remain, and were reserved to the States or the people: that thus was manifested their determination to retain to themselves the right of judging how far the licentiousness of speech and of the press may be abridged without lessening their useful freedom, and how far those abuses which cannot be separated from their use should be tolerated, rather than the use be destroyed. And thus also they guarded against all abridgment by the United States of the freedom of religious opinions and exercises, and retained to themselves the right of protecting the same. And that in addition to this general principle and express declaration, another and more special provision has been made by one of the amendments to the Constitution, which expressly declares, that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press:” thereby guarding in the same sentence, and under the same words, the freedom of religion, of speech, and of the press: insomuch, that whatever violated either, throws down the sanctuary which covers the others, and that libels, falsehood, and defamation, equally with heresy and false religion, are withheld from the cognizance of federal tribunals. That, therefore, all acts of Congress of the United States which do abridge the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, are not law, but are altogether void, and of no force; and
That the construction applied by the General Government (as is evidenced by sundry of their proceedings) to those parts of the Constitution of the United States which delegate to Congress a power “to lay and collect taxes, duties, imports, and excises, to pay the debts, and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States,” and “to make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the powers vested by the Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof,” goes to the destruction of all limits prescribed to their power by the Constitution: that words meant by the instrument to be subsidiary only to the execution of limited powers, ought not to be so construed as themselves to give unlimited powers, nor a part to be so taken as to destroy the whole residue of that instrument: that the proceedings of the General Government under color of these articles, will be a fit and necessary subject of revisal and correction; and
That a committee of conference and correspondence be appointed, which shall have as its charge to communicate the preceding resolutions to the Legislatures of the several States; to assure them that this State continues in the same esteem of their friendship and union which it has manifested from that moment at which a common danger first suggested a common union: that it considers union, for specified national purposes, and particularly to those specified in their federal compact, to be friendly to the peace, happiness and prosperity of all the States: that faithful to that compact, according to the plain intent and meaning in which it was understood and acceded to by the several parties, it is sincerely anxious for its preservation: that it does also believe, that to take from the States all the powers of self-government and transfer them to a general and consolidated government, without regard to the special delegations and reservations solemnly agreed to in that compact, is not for the peace, happiness or prosperity of these States; and that therefore this State is determined, as it doubts not its co-States are, to submit to undelegated, and consequently unlimited powers in no man, or body of men on earth: that in cases of an abuse of the delegated powers, the members of the General Government, being chosen by the people, a change by the people would be the constitutional remedy; but, where powers are assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy: that every State has a natural right in cases not within the compact, (casus non foederis), to nullify of their own authority all assumptions of power by others within their limits: that without this right, they would be under the dominion, absolute and unlimited, of whosoever might exercise this right of judgment for them: that nevertheless, this State, from motives of regard and respect for its co-States, has wished to communicate with them on the subject: that with them alone it is proper to communicate, they alone being parties to the compact, and solely authorized to judge in the last resort of the powers exercised under it, Congress being not a party, but merely the creature of the compact, and subject as to its assumptions of power to the final judgment of those by whom, and for whose use itself and its powers were all created and modified: that if the acts before specified should stand, these conclusions would flow from them: that it would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights: that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism -- free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy and not confidence which prescribes limited constitutions, to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power: that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no further, our confidence may go. In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution. That this State does therefore call on its co-States for an expression of their sentiments on acts not authorized by the federal compact. And it doubts not that their sense will be so announced as to prove their attachment unaltered to limited government, whether general or particular. And that the rights and liberties of their co-States will be exposed to no dangers by remaining embarked in a common bottom with their own. That they will concur with this State in considering acts as so palpably against the Constitution as to amount to an undisguised declaration that that compact is not meant to be the measure of the powers of the General Government, but that it will proceed in the exercise over these States, of all powers whatsoever: that they will view this as seizing the rights of the States, and consolidating them in the hands of the General Government, with a power assumed to bind the States, not merely as the cases made federal, (casus foederis,) but in all cases whatsoever, by laws made, not with their consent, but by others against their consent: that this would be to surrender the form of government we have chosen, and live under one deriving its powers from its own will, and not from our authority; and that the co-States, recurring to their natural right in cases not made federal, will concur in declaring these acts void, and of no force, and will each take measures of its own for providing that neither these acts, nor any others of the General Government not plainly and intentionally authorized by the Constitution, shall be exercised within their respective territories; and
That the said committee be authorized to communicate by writing or personal conferences, at any times or places whatever, with any person or person who may be appointed by any one or more co-States to correspond or confer with them; and that they lay their proceedings before the next session of the General Court; and
That any Act by the Congress of the United States, Executive Order of the President of the United States of America or Judicial Order by the Judicatories of the United States of America which assumes a power not delegated to the government of United States of America by the Constitution for the United States of America and which serves to diminish the liberty of the any of the several States or their citizens shall constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States of America by the government of the United States of America. Acts which would cause such a nullification include, but are not limited to:
I. Establishing martial law or a state of emergency within one of the States comprising the United States of America without the consent of the legislature of that State.
II. Requiring involuntary servitude, or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.
III. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of 18 other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.
IV. Surrendering any power delegated or not delegated to any corporation or foreign government.
V. Any act regarding religion; further limitations on freedom of political speech; or further limitations on freedom of the press.
VI. Further infringements on the right to keep and bear arms including prohibitions of type or quantity of arms or ammunition; and
That should any such act of Congress become law or Executive Order or Judicial Order be put into force, all powers previously delegated to the United States of America by the Constitution for the United States shall revert to the several States individually. Any future government of the United States of America shall require ratification of three quarters of the States seeking to form a government of the United States of America and shall not be binding upon any State not seeking to form such a government; and
That copies of this resolution be transmitted by the house clerk to the President of the United States, each member of the United States Congress, and the presiding officers of each State’s legislature.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
A RESOLUTION affirming States’ rights based on Jeffersonian principles.
Whereas the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire, Part 1, Article 7 declares that the people of this State have the sole and exclusive right of governing themselves as a free, sovereign, and independent State; and do, and forever hereafter shall, exercise and enjoy every power, jurisdiction, and right, pertaining thereto, which is not, or may not hereafter be, by them expressly delegated to the United States of America in congress assembled; and
Whereas the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire, Part 2, Article 1 declares that the people inhabiting the territory formerly called the province of New Hampshire, do hereby solemnly and mutually agree with each other, to form themselves into a free, sovereign and independent body-politic, or State, by the name of The State of New Hampshire; and
Whereas the State of New Hampshire when ratifying the Constitution for the United States of America recommended as a change, “First That it be Explicitly declared that all Powers not expressly & particularly Delegated by the aforesaid are reserved to the several States to be, by them Exercised;” and
Whereas the other States that included recommendations, to wit Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Virginia, included an identical or similar recommended change; and
Whereas these recommended changes were incorporated as the ninth amendment, the enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people, and the tenth amendment, the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people, to the Constitution for the United States of America; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the several States composing the United States of America, are not united on the principle of unlimited submission to their General Government; but that, by a compact under the style and title of a Constitution for the United States, and of amendments thereto, they constituted a General Government for special purposes, -- delegated to that government certain definite powers, reserving, each State to itself, the residuary mass of right to their own self-government; and that whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force; that to this compact each State acceded as a State, and is an integral party, its co-States forming, as to itself, the other party: that the government created by this compact was not made the exclusive or final judge of the extent of the powers delegated to itself; since that would have made its discretion, and not the Constitution, the measure of its powers; but that, as in all other cases of compact among powers having no common judge, each party has an equal right to judge for itself, as well of infractions as of the mode and measure of redress; and
That the Constitution of the United States, having delegated to Congress a power to punish treason, counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States, piracies, and felonies committed on the high seas, and offences against the law of nations, slavery, and no other crimes whatsoever; and it being true as a general principle, and one of the amendments to the Constitution having also declared, that “the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people,” therefore all acts of Congress which assume to create, define, or punish crimes, other than those so enumerated in the Constitution are altogether void, and of no force; and that the power to create, define, and punish such other crimes is reserved, and, of right, appertains solely and exclusively to the respective States, each within its own territory; and
That it is true as a general principle, and is also expressly declared by one of the amendments to the Constitution, that “the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people;” and that no power over the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, or freedom of the press being delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, all lawful powers respecting the same did of right remain, and were reserved to the States or the people: that thus was manifested their determination to retain to themselves the right of judging how far the licentiousness of speech and of the press may be abridged without lessening their useful freedom, and how far those abuses which cannot be separated from their use should be tolerated, rather than the use be destroyed. And thus also they guarded against all abridgment by the United States of the freedom of religious opinions and exercises, and retained to themselves the right of protecting the same. And that in addition to this general principle and express declaration, another and more special provision has been made by one of the amendments to the Constitution, which expressly declares, that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press:” thereby guarding in the same sentence, and under the same words, the freedom of religion, of speech, and of the press: insomuch, that whatever violated either, throws down the sanctuary which covers the others, and that libels, falsehood, and defamation, equally with heresy and false religion, are withheld from the cognizance of federal tribunals. That, therefore, all acts of Congress of the United States which do abridge the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, are not law, but are altogether void, and of no force; and
That the construction applied by the General Government (as is evidenced by sundry of their proceedings) to those parts of the Constitution of the United States which delegate to Congress a power “to lay and collect taxes, duties, imports, and excises, to pay the debts, and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States,” and “to make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the powers vested by the Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof,” goes to the destruction of all limits prescribed to their power by the Constitution: that words meant by the instrument to be subsidiary only to the execution of limited powers, ought not to be so construed as themselves to give unlimited powers, nor a part to be so taken as to destroy the whole residue of that instrument: that the proceedings of the General Government under color of these articles, will be a fit and necessary subject of revisal and correction; and
That a committee of conference and correspondence be appointed, which shall have as its charge to communicate the preceding resolutions to the Legislatures of the several States; to assure them that this State continues in the same esteem of their friendship and union which it has manifested from that moment at which a common danger first suggested a common union: that it considers union, for specified national purposes, and particularly to those specified in their federal compact, to be friendly to the peace, happiness and prosperity of all the States: that faithful to that compact, according to the plain intent and meaning in which it was understood and acceded to by the several parties, it is sincerely anxious for its preservation: that it does also believe, that to take from the States all the powers of self-government and transfer them to a general and consolidated government, without regard to the special delegations and reservations solemnly agreed to in that compact, is not for the peace, happiness or prosperity of these States; and that therefore this State is determined, as it doubts not its co-States are, to submit to undelegated, and consequently unlimited powers in no man, or body of men on earth: that in cases of an abuse of the delegated powers, the members of the General Government, being chosen by the people, a change by the people would be the constitutional remedy; but, where powers are assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy: that every State has a natural right in cases not within the compact, (casus non foederis), to nullify of their own authority all assumptions of power by others within their limits: that without this right, they would be under the dominion, absolute and unlimited, of whosoever might exercise this right of judgment for them: that nevertheless, this State, from motives of regard and respect for its co-States, has wished to communicate with them on the subject: that with them alone it is proper to communicate, they alone being parties to the compact, and solely authorized to judge in the last resort of the powers exercised under it, Congress being not a party, but merely the creature of the compact, and subject as to its assumptions of power to the final judgment of those by whom, and for whose use itself and its powers were all created and modified: that if the acts before specified should stand, these conclusions would flow from them: that it would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights: that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism -- free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy and not confidence which prescribes limited constitutions, to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power: that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no further, our confidence may go. In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution. That this State does therefore call on its co-States for an expression of their sentiments on acts not authorized by the federal compact. And it doubts not that their sense will be so announced as to prove their attachment unaltered to limited government, whether general or particular. And that the rights and liberties of their co-States will be exposed to no dangers by remaining embarked in a common bottom with their own. That they will concur with this State in considering acts as so palpably against the Constitution as to amount to an undisguised declaration that that compact is not meant to be the measure of the powers of the General Government, but that it will proceed in the exercise over these States, of all powers whatsoever: that they will view this as seizing the rights of the States, and consolidating them in the hands of the General Government, with a power assumed to bind the States, not merely as the cases made federal, (casus foederis,) but in all cases whatsoever, by laws made, not with their consent, but by others against their consent: that this would be to surrender the form of government we have chosen, and live under one deriving its powers from its own will, and not from our authority; and that the co-States, recurring to their natural right in cases not made federal, will concur in declaring these acts void, and of no force, and will each take measures of its own for providing that neither these acts, nor any others of the General Government not plainly and intentionally authorized by the Constitution, shall be exercised within their respective territories; and
That the said committee be authorized to communicate by writing or personal conferences, at any times or places whatever, with any person or person who may be appointed by any one or more co-States to correspond or confer with them; and that they lay their proceedings before the next session of the General Court; and
That any Act by the Congress of the United States, Executive Order of the President of the United States of America or Judicial Order by the Judicatories of the United States of America which assumes a power not delegated to the government of United States of America by the Constitution for the United States of America and which serves to diminish the liberty of the any of the several States or their citizens shall constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States of America by the government of the United States of America. Acts which would cause such a nullification include, but are not limited to:
