Amusing story here.
Okay - this one cracked me up.
The human brain - the conclusions it comes up with when something's just....not right.....can be pretty darned entertaining.
The guy in the story, who found the pool area of a Las Vegas Hotel to be.......unusually warm.....due to a defect in the glass building that magifies the suns rays on a part of the pool.....was freaking out! "Oh my gosh we fried the ozone layer!" Meanwhile he's running around trying to escape the heat - like an ant under a magnifying glass.....don't ask me how I know. I'm so ashamed.
I remember speeding under a photo radar system when I was stationed in Japan. I was 20 and it was my first car and I didn't know what photo radar was and I usually drove everywhere at 110 mph. Suddenly the night sky lit up with a massively bright red flash that filled my car - the photo radar was on a tower spanning the road and had taken a flash photo of me (the Japanese use red at night so it doesn't destroy your night vision) - I had the sunroof open - and then the light was gone. I looked up - I swear I thought I was about to get abducted by a UFO or something and nothing for the life of me could account for the insanely bright red flash that had just filled my car and the night sky. I scanned the sky - uncertain of what happened. I wasn't sure whether I needed to pray or what.
Anyways, I couldn't find a video of ants being burned and its too dark and late at night to go make one - so here's a video of ants digging tunnels in a gel ant farm instead.
