This is a listing of the most armed states in the Union with background checks for firearms permits.
While Oregon is about halfway down the list, I think once you get out of Portland, you probably better watch your back. It's kind of like traveling back in time or to another part of the country once you get out of Portland, though the stupid liberals are trying to transport and spread their idealism around the rest of the state.
Tonight I was bike riding with the kidlets and went through a peace protest (is that what you call it?) down by the library in Beaverton. There's always something going there. Anyways, harmless enough - as long as they didn't talk to me. One of them started to try to but I gave her a look and probably my American Flag T-shirt and the glare made her think better of it. Sorry y'all. I've watched people literally be killed and die for freedom. Peace is not simply the absence of violence. That's what the Chinese would have you think and China is very peaceful.....because they arrest torture or execute anyone who's a threat to their government. Wait....how many people does China execute a year? Hm, found a few estimates at 10,000+ a year. Apparently it's a state secret.
So - you want peace?
Don't stand around holding signs. Go help your neighbor. Teach a child to read. Do something productive. Read my blog! All these are things that contribute to peace in the world and help secure what's been achieved and often is and can only be achieved through bloodshed. Put your sign down and go do something productive.
So - what's the point of this entry? Scroll....up. Ah, yes. There it is. States with the most guns.
I have a hard time watching movies. or even openings like the one posted below without having an adrenaline rush and even though its a movie my eyes begin to scan everything again and I feel that "readiness" come back to me of going back into something.....watching....I don't know that it will ever leave me but it's there at any rate.
At the same time while I admire their speaking out, even their protesting is a form of war, a form of aggression, standing on the street presenting an "opposing view" to the views that might be different.
In the meantime, don't try to pull anything in Kentucky!
